God’s Justice (Week 4 Day 2)

Think about it…

That’s the very first challenge for today’s reading. Think about it. If you haven’t taken the time to really think about it, do it now. And start here:

God is just. But his justice is expressed through his mercy. We see in the gift of Jesus the most perfect illustration of mercy translated into just action. God didn’t have to send his son, but he did because of his love and mercy.” – Barefoot Church Primer pg. 78

Don’t let that pass you buy. It’s critical that we not only develop a biblical understanding of Justice, but also that we develop an understanding of it’s biblical place in a believers life. It’s the difference between behavioral modification and identity transformation. And quite often, this is our struggle when it comes to serving the least.

How do we find our true Identity in Christ? What does that look like? I truly believe it has a whole lot to do with the place mercy and justice hold in our lives.
